I Am Poem!
Create an I Am poem for the book you have read. Pretend you are one of the main characters and complete what this person might wonder, hear, see, etc. Remember to only include the details that will give the reader or listener a better understanding of your character as a person.
You can complete your poem online here and print.
OR.....you may write it out using this frame:
I Am
I am (two special characteristics)
I wonder (something you are actually curious about)
I hear (an imaginary sound)
I see (an imaginary sight)
I want (an actual desire)
I am (the first line of the poem restated)
I pretend (something you pretend to do)
I feel (a feeling about something imaginary)
I touch (an imaginary touch)
I worry (something that really bothers you)
I cry (something that makes you very sad)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)
I understand (something you know is true)
I say (something you believe in)
I dream (something you actually dream about)
I try (something you make an effort to do)
I hope (something you actually hope for)
I am (the first line of the poem repeated)

Collage Book Report!
Any kind of printed material (magazines, newspapers, flyers..)
Cut out letters, words, phrases, and pictures that best represent the story of your book.
Glue what you have selected on construction paper. Don't forget the title!
Your collage needs to show:
Who is the story about?
What is the setting?
What is the problem?
How did the characters work together to solve the problem?
If your book report is a biography, please use this format:
Title
Character's name and other important details (birth, marriage, children, death)
The character's traits and accomplishments.
What lesson did you learn from the character?
Think of the icons if they will help you choose what pictures, words, and phrases to represent the main character in your report (Change Over Time, Ethics, Unanswered Questions).
